On Friday, 16 June 2023, Information Technology Undergraduate Program at Batam International University held a socialization activity for the MBKM – Talent program, namely a Webinar entitled “The Acceleration of Indonesia’s Transformation To a Digital Economy by Improving Digital Talent”. This webinar was attended by UIB students and the general public. This activity was carried out online through the Zoom Meeting application.
Digital economic transformation has become a global trend that has had a major impact on various aspects of economic life, including in Indonesia.
Indonesia has great potential to develop a digital economy due to the rapid growth of internet users and the penetration of mobile devices in the country. In order to drive a successful digital economy transformation, the addition of qualified digital talent becomes very important.
In this activity, the IT Undergraduate Program presented a guest speaker from the Elite Academy, namely Mr. Ahmad Gilang. This webinar was guided by Mr. Haeruddin, S.Kom., M.MSI as the head and lecturer of the IT Undergraduate Program.
In this activity, Mr. Ahmad Gilang provided knowledge to UIB students regarding understanding the background of Indonesia’s digital economic transformation and acknowledged the important role played by adding digital talent. The participants who attended were very enthusiastic in following the webinar.
